ECHR. Convictions against Romania.

European Court of Human Rights ruled on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in the following cases: - Catherine Groom and others against Romania: Court found a majority (six votes to one), violation of Art. 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights under its procedural and it is not necessary to examine the claim for breach of art. And Article 6 § 1. 13 of the Convention. The plaintiffs requested between 100,000 and EUR 1,000,000 damages and between 100,000 and EUR 1,000,000 in property damage. 15.000 EUR were granted moral damages to each plaintiff (or families), the total is 650,000 euros. Wojtyczek judge filed a dissenting opinion.

Case of Ples v. Romania
The Court found, unanimously, a violation of Article. 6 § 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The applicant requested EUR 300,000 moral and material damages. 3.600 EUR were awarded damages. From the panel of judges was part prof. Dr. dr. Iulia Motoc, Romanian judge at the ECHR.

Case of Dumitru Gheorghe v. Romania
The Court found, unanimously, a violation of Article. 6 § 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The applicant claimed EUR 50,000 moral and material damages and court costs 2.270 EUR. They were granted 3.600 EUR 70 EUR moral damages and costs. From the panel of judges was part prof. Dr. dr. Iulia Motoc, Romanian judge at the ECHR.

Case of M.C. and A.C. v. Romania
The Court found, unanimously, a violation of Article. 3 in conjunction with Art. 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The court ruled, by majority (six votes to one), it is not necessary to examine the other heads. The plaintiffs sought damages sum of 15,000 EUR (each) and EUR 3863.02 costs. 7.000 EUR were granted to each of the plaintiffs damages and court costs EUR 3863.02. Wojtyczek judge filed a concurring opinion and Judge Kūris a partially dissenting opinion. From the panel of judges was part prof. Dr. dr. Iulia Motoc, Romanian judge at the ECHR.
